Mark’s art practice is based on variety of media (acrylic paint, oil paint, ink, pencil and also sanding and rubbing on canvas and wood panels) to communicate the way he sees things, places and people – the world around him.
Working spontaneously, the application of media is emotionally charged by using marks and color like words in a conversation. Unsurprisingly, the titles of his works are also an important element; written words create powerful imagery and are as important as a color or one mark.
