TREVISANNnINTERNATIONAL ART

introduction

Paola Trevisan

Welcome to Trevisan International Art.

Trevisan International Art (TIA) is a growing forum of artists whom - since 2003 - I have been chosen to exhibit their work at the Estense Castle, Ferrara, and various other venues throughout Italy. TIA seeks to provide an interactive network for these artists.

Besides being a strong network of artists from many different countries and cultures, the forum will be a meeting of minds, where experiences and ideas are shared under my guiding curatorial eye and international promotion. The strength in this venture lies in the diversity of character, sensibility and talent between individual artists. They may relate to (or confront) each other with intensity. However, through the variations in their expressed languages and exchanges of their different cultural backgrounds, they may enlarge their awareness of art and cultivate a greater understanding of its purpose. As we move towards a demand for exhibitions in other countries, such international communication and correspondence will become increasingly important. It will play a large part in maintaining the continuity of high quality and integrity in work presented at future exhibitions.

At TIA we are excited about the introduction of a continuously updated "Newsletter", to appear in our website, where members will be welcome to publish their news, views and current activities. For practising artists, this Newsletter provides an ideal opportunity to publish, besides artists' contributory comments, photographs of their work, biographical details and exhibition projects. Finally, I would like to invite TIA members and interested readers to voice their views in an informal way. Our continuously updated page "Readers' Views" - will publish relevant contributions, and I hope it will help encourage a lively exchange of thoughts, within the TIA network, as well as with the world of art at large.
